Our country is not a classic skiing nation, yet statistics show that alpine skiing is the second most popular sport. Despite its popularity, many people are only partially or not at all prepared for snowy days, with many heading to the slopes from their desks at work. The exertion at altitude takes its toll on the body. If you take time to exercise before you go skiing, your body will be better able to cope with the stress in the mountains, you will tire later, recover faster and enjoy your winter holiday more.
It is very important to warm up before skiing. Remember that if you start with "cold" muscles and joints, you increase the risk of accidents. One of the advantages of skiing with an instructor is that every day the instructor starts the session with a warm-up, taking care to ensure that it is important and professionally structured. It is important not to start immediately on the most difficult slope. It is advisable to (ski in), preferably with an instructor, to get a feel for the quality of the snow, visibility and weather conditions.
The use of ski lessons is independent of skiing ability. In professional schools, instructors select their teams according to skiing ability and age. Even an advanced adult can enjoy a lesson if the skiing is lively and dynamic and new techniques can be learned. For beginners, instruction is even more important, as getting the basics right is much easier than correcting a bad technique. There are ski schools where several age groups learn together, according to their level, for one to one and a half hours a day, there are ski schools where lessons are rotated by age and lesson, there are ski clubs where there are grouped groups of all ages and levels and lessons are given in the morning and afternoon. These can be chosen by everyone according to their needs.
Finding your way around the ski slopes, getting to know the ski lift system and the meeting points are all made easier by skiing with an instructor, who knows them, helps you and gives you orientation points. This makes the time spent relaxing more pleasant. It is practical to get a ski map of the terrain or ask the instructor for one, so that if you get separated or miss something, it is easier to find the meeting points.
Don't want to use your lift pass until the last minute! If you feel tired, stop skiing! A lot of injuries happen on the "last ride". Instead, talk to the instructor about finishing the skiing together two laps earlier, because you want to slide a couple more laps separately. If you would like to ski separately with your children, ask the instructor for an opinion on which slopes are safe and enjoyable to ski with your children. A child has a much lower sense of fear, will go down the steepest slopes with a certain knowledge, but may not enjoy it. We think it is important to have a 1 hour lunch break a day! This is a time for family and friends to get together and share their experiences of the day. Finish skiing a little earlier on the last day, especially if you get in the car and drive home afterwards!
We go to the ski slopes to relax and unwind. We can make our own holidays more enjoyable and comfortable with the help of a ski instructor. Ski instructing is a profession, carried out by professionals who make sure that their guests enjoy their winter skiing in the best possible conditions and in the greatest safety.
