SRAM Eagle has played a defining role in the development of wide-range 1x MTB drivetrains over the past decade. The Eagle S-Series builds on this proven platform with a simpler and more streamlined product structure.

The new range consists of three main levels: S100, S200 and S500. SRAM has also retained the broad compatibility of the Eagle Drivetrain ecosystem, making it easier to repair or upgrade an existing drivetrain.

Eagle S500

The S500 sits at the top of the Eagle S-Series range and is built around wireless AXS technology. With premium materials and a higher level of finish, it is suitable for MTB, E-MTB and even gravel applications. The AXS system can be paired with a variety of SRAM AXS controllers, making it a versatile option for riders who want to upgrade an existing Eagle drivetrain to wireless shifting.

Eagle S200

The S200 is designed for riders who want to combine the simplicity and reliability of mechanical shifting with a higher level of performance. It offers precise shifting, excellent durability and strong value for money, while maintaining broad compatibility with existing Eagle Drivetrain components.

Eagle S100

The S100 is the entry level of the Eagle S-Series, but SRAM has not simply created a budget drivetrain. Its components feature a durable construction designed for demanding use, and the system is also ready for E-MTB applications. It is a practical choice both for new bike builds and for cost-effective replacement of older Eagle components.

SRAM Eagle S100 Rear Derailleur

The Eagle S100 rear derailleur builds on more than a decade of SRAM Eagle experience. Its updated construction features more precise bushing tolerances and a more robust design, engineered for stable and reliable long-term performance. It retains the wide gear range and accurate shifting associated with Eagle, while also meeting the demands of high-torque E-MTB use.

The mounting bolt is compatible with the Half Mount system.

SRAM Eagle S100 UDH Half Mount Rear Derailleur

One of the most interesting features of the S100 is the Half Mount system. In this configuration, the UDH bolt and derailleur mounting work together to provide greater lateral stability. This can be particularly useful if the derailleur is hit or damaged in a crash, as even a slightly bent derailleur hanger can result in inaccurate shifting and accelerated wear.

Half Mount therefore reinforces the traditional derailleur-hanger design, but it is not the same as the Full Mount system used by Eagle Transmission. The S100 still uses a derailleur hanger, and the limit screws and B-Gap adjustment remain part of the setup process.

The Half Mount system is designed specifically for the Eagle S100 rear derailleur.
It can be especially useful on E-MTBs, where the higher bike weight can place greater loads on the derailleur in a crash.
The Half Mount plate works together with the UDH bolt and the dedicated S100 mounting bolt.
It can only be used on UDH-compatible frames.

SRAM Eagle S100 Crankset

The Eagle S100 crankset uses robust aluminium crank arms paired with a durable steel X-Sync 2 chainring. SRAM offers a wide selection of crank lengths, including the increasingly popular shorter options, making it easier to match the crankset to different rider heights and bike types.

SRAM Eagle S100 Crank Assembly

The S100 is also available as a separate crank assembly. It uses the same robust aluminium construction as the complete crankset, while the 3-bolt chainring interface provides compatibility with Eagle X-Sync 2 chainrings.

SRAM Eagle S100 Chain

The S100 chain is based on the proven Eagle design and is compatible with the rest of the Eagle Drivetrain ecosystem. Solid pins provide durability, while the Eagle PowerLock connector makes installation simple and reliable.

SRAM PG-1210 Cassette

The PG-1210 is a durable 11–50T Eagle cassette designed primarily for riders who want a wide-range 12-speed drivetrain while retaining a traditional splined freehub body.

11–50T gearing.

SRAM Eagle S100 Shifter

The S100 shifter benefits from ergonomic developments found on SRAM's newer mechanical systems. The longer paddle requires less operating force, while Stealth cable routing helps create a cleaner cockpit.

SRAM Eagle S200

SRAM Eagle S200 Rear Derailleur

The S200 is the higher-level mechanical rear derailleur in the Eagle range. One of its key advantages is its broad compatibility: it can be used with both 500% and 520% Eagle cassette ranges. The Type 3 clutch keeps the chain under control, helping to deliver quieter operation on technical terrain and descents.

SRAM Eagle S200 DUB Crankset

The S200 DUB crankset is built around simplicity, durability and broad compatibility. Its aluminium crank arms are paired with a steel X-Sync 2 chainring, while SRAM's DUB axle system provides a consistent interface and effective sealing.

SRAM Eagle S200 DUB Crank Assembly

SRAM Eagle XG-1275 Cassette

The XG-1275 is designed for riders looking for a combination of wide gear range, low weight and reliable performance. It is available in both 500% 10–50T and 520% 10–52T versions, allowing the drivetrain to be matched to the intended terrain and riding style.

The FULL PIN construction connects precisely formed steel sprockets using high-strength pins. Its open design helps shed mud and debris, contributing to reliable shifting in challenging conditions.

SRAM Eagle S200 Shifter

The S200 shifter incorporates modern ergonomic solutions inspired by the Eagle 90. The longer paddle requires less force, while allowing the rider's hand to move less on the handlebar during shifting.

SRAM Eagle S500

SRAM Eagle S500 AXS Rear Derailleur

The Eagle S500 AXS is the S-Series wireless rear derailleur. Thanks to AXS technology, no shift cable is required, and the system can be customised through the AXS app. The S500 can also be paired with other SRAM AXS controllers, making it an interesting option not only for MTB and E-MTB setups, but for certain gravel configurations as well.

The rear derailleur also features Overload Clutch protection. In the event of a hard impact, the motor gearbox temporarily disengages, allowing the derailleur to move out of the way before immediately returning to its position.

SRAM Eagle S500 DUB Crankset

The S500 crankset features carbon crank arms paired with an aluminium X-Sync 2 chainring. The construction combines low weight and stiffness while retaining the secure chain control expected from Eagle systems.

SRAM Eagle S500 Chain

The S500 chain is the premium option in the Eagle range. Along with its low weight, it is designed for high tensile strength, quiet running and long service life. It is available in Gold and Rainbow finishes.

SRAM Eagle XG-1299 Cassette

The XG-1299 is one of the top-tier cassettes in the traditional Eagle Drivetrain system. Its 10–52T gearing delivers a 520% range, while the X-Dome construction provides exceptionally low weight and high stiffness.
